The Nazareth Village is a low-cost housing project of Bukas Loob sa Diyos (BLD) Catholic Charismatic Covenant Community in CEbu. It is located in Tudela, Camotes, Cebu.
The project includes the construction of 24 dwelling units working towards a total of 120 dwellings as the funds become available. The housing unit will be made available to qualified beneficiaries to be determined by BLD.
This project is in line with the BLD Global direction of poverty alleviation.
Each unit costs Php255,000.00. A substantial portion of the labor cost will be provided by volunteer workers under the supervision of the construction and technical committee of the project management.
An important and basic component of the prject is the involvement of the targeted beneficiaries in teh form of a prescribed number of hours that they will contribute as their share in the labor of constructing houses.
Another component is the need for the beneficiaries to undergo values formation seminars and livelihood training.
